•  Complete the required human research ethics in CITI and if applicable HIPAA and GCP training: ​https://publichealth.jhu.edu/offices-and-services/institutional-review-board-irb/training

• Use the ‘First Steps’ guide: to register in PHIRST, obtain a user role, and upload your human subjects training certificates and completion date to your PHIRST profile page.
