Grant Timelines

Below are a couple of diagrams of the entire proposal process.

JHU Grant Submission Timeline

The more time you have the better for submitting a grant proposal. Working with your departmental representative on the internal deadlines is important. For example, if subawards are involved, other institutions may have longer approval processes. A general rule of thumb is a total of 6 business days before the proposal deadline.

Within JHU, it should be noted that each Division has their own timeline. JHURA will do a 3 day review before submitting a proposal. Below is the preferred timeline and shows the level of review JHURA provides before submitting.
