The Vice Provost for Research Office has established the Research Development Team (RDT), which consists of illustrators, science writers, and budget experts. This team is dedicated to collaborating with you and your department administration in pursuing significant funding opportunities such as U54's and P01's. It is important to note that this service is free of charge and available to all faculty members, regardless of their track.

To maximize the benefits of this service, faculty members are encouraged to engage with the Research Development Team early in the grant preparation phase. The RDT can provide valuable assistance in coordinating meetings and handling various logistical aspects. Priority will be given to grants that exceed $5 million.

The scope of support provided by the Research Development Team ranges from light editing to drafting entire sections of the grant. This service was introduced four years ago and has since played a crucial role in helping faculty members secure over $500 million in funding. By availing themselves of this service, faculty members are encouraged to pursue larger grants without compromising the effort required for smaller ones.
