BSPH & JHED ID Guide

	BSPH ID	JHED ID
Facts:	BSPH ID’s are unique to BSPH affiliates and all faculty, staff and students are assigned a BSPH ID upon employment or enrollment via a feed from JHED. Transferring faculty, staff, students & sponsored are assigned a BSPH ID via Help Desk ticket. For faculty and staff, BSPH ID’s are used to login to your BSPH computer as well as the my.jhsph.edu portal also known as SharePoint. For students, BSPH ID’s are used to connect to the BSPH wireless secure network or the my.jhsph.edu portal. Those external to BSPH need to have a sponsor manually create an ID via Create Portal Account tool.	All faculty, staff & students are assigned a JHED ID when affiliated with any JH enterprise. This is used as a unique identifier and login for various JH wide programs. For faculty & staff JHED ID’s are automatically created via SAP payroll or manually created in JHED via JHED Department Admin tool upon employment. For students, JHED ID’s are automatically created via a list of registered students from SIS upon enrollment. Sponsored affiliates need to manually create via JHED dept admin tool.
