Using ForagerOne to Hire Research Students

How to:

1. Begin with setting up your profile. Log on to ForagerOne, click on sign up and select your institution. Use your JHED ID to sign up and add necessary details in the profile section. If you have an existing faculty profile on JHED, the system will pull the information (such as the ‘About’ section from that account and set it up for you. You can, however, revisit the information and make necessary changes.

2. In the profile section, you can change your recruitment status using the toggle button. If you are seeking collaborators for your work, you can turn the status on. Additionally, if you are interested in corporate partnerships, you can add that as well and upload supporting data and documents.

3. The next step is to add details about the project you are working on. This will help candidates to apply only if the area interests them and if they meet the eligibility criteria.

4. Once the candidates apply or if you find the right match for the position, you can go ahead and send a message to them as shown in the image below:

After the account is set up, you can start finding the potential candidates or collaborators for your future projects.
