Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature – scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine social sciences and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research. From researchers pursuing scientific breakthroughs to academic institutions and government agencies evaluating research, Scopus is the abstract and indexing database of choice. Worldwide, Scopus is used by more than 3,000 academic, government and corporate institutions and is the main data source that supports the Research Intelligence portfolio.

How To:

Registration

  1. Go to https://www.scopus.com/ and create account with your institutional email address

    • Once successfully registered with you email address to Scopus, the user must have the email domain of the institution or connected to the network of the institution to activate the remote access.

Remote Access

After registration/creating an account, you may proceed with these steps:

  1. Go to http://www.sciencedirect.com

  2. Click sign in

3. Click on "Sign in via your institution" 

4. Enter the name of your institution and select it on the list. Click continue

5. Enter your institutional email address then click "Continue" 

6. You will then be given a confirmation message. After, open your email and click on the link. 

7. Once done, you should be able to access your institution's subscriptions remotely.
