PHIRST: New Applications

  • You must answer all applicable questions in the PHIRST application

  • Upload research plans, consent forms, and other required study documentation available on the Forms page of the BSPH IRB website

  • Your responses to these questions must be consistent with the study information provided in your study documents

  • Only the Principal Investigator may actually submit applications in PHIRST

 

 

How To:

  1. Access PHIRST at:  https://phirst.jhsph.edu/

  2. Use your JHED ID/JHED password to log in to PHIRST

  3. Click on Create New Application in the upper left corner of your My Inbox homepage

  4. Provide an answer to all required questions

  5. Upload your research plan, consent forms, and other required study documentation available on the Forms page of the BSPH IRB website

  6. Complete the first page and click Continue to save your answers; an IRB number will be assigned to your application at this point

  • When you are finished with the application and are ready to submit it to the BSPH IRB Office, check YES to question 2.0 on the last page and click FINISH at the top or bottom right of the screen. See page 12 of the  PHIRST User Guide
