Description/

How it works

  • Log onto JH Qualtrics platform and click on the “Projects” tab to “create project” and choose between a survey, dashboard, or frontline feedback.

  • Then use “Survey” tab to use templates and follow instructions to create the survey/project.

  • Once created, publish the project and begin to administer the survey/project to desired participants through a weblink or email using the “Distributions” tab within the project.

  • Once surveys are completed, use “Data and Analysis” tab to view and clean survey data, use “Results” tab to view summaries of each survey question.

  • Once data review and cleaning is complete, use “Reports” tab to generate visualizations for the survey results.

  • Create data projects on the platform for your study by clicking on “Request New REDcap project” puzzle and add collaborators to join your project once approval is notified by email.

  • Create data collection surveys to enter data, manage entered data, and export data for analysis on Microsoft Excel, SAS, SPSS, R, STATA, and XML.

  • Investigators are also permitted to use REDCap for participant consent if their study meets both of the following criteria:

    • the study has been determined to be a minimal risk study by the IRB  

    • the study has been granted a Waiver of Documentation of Consent  (section 14 in eIRB)

JH REDCap Tiered Access Model dependent on project type, number of data points, and storage limit.
