The Core for Clinical Research Data Acquisition (CCDA) assists researchers with accessing clinical data for research purposes. The CCDA is staffed with experienced data analysts who will assist you with access to data while also helping you comply with Data Trust privacy and security regulations.

The Office of Research Administration (ORA) supports the research efforts of the outstanding faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

ORA is comprised of three separate offices, each serving the needs of the SOM faculty and departments in different ways:

ORA- Miller Research Building (ORA-MRB): Review and submission of all SOM grant applications, signature of all grant awards, and negotiation and signature of all research contracts and other research-related agreements.

Clinical Research Contracting (CRC): Review, negotiation and signature of all commercially sponsored clinical research.

Clinical Research Support Services: Compliance with reimbursement in Clinical Trials and research.

Slicer Dicer is a data visualization tool within Epic Hyperspace that allows clinicians to tap into the wealth of patient records in their Epic environment in order to investigate clinical conjectures or make new discoveries about patient populations.

Accrual to Clinical Trials (ACT)

The ACT Network is a real-time platform allowing researchers to explore and validate feasibility for clinical studies across the NCATS Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) consortium, from their desktops. Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The JHSPH Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversees two IRBs registered with the U.S. Office of Human Research Protections, IRB X and IRB FC.

IRB X oversees research that qualifies as Public Health Surveillance, Exempt, as well as non-Exempt research eligible for expedited review. IRB FC oversees all research that poses greater than minimal risk to individuals and/or to groups.
