Instructions to check whether you have multiple records associated with your profile:

Scopus Author Id Look-Up Directions:

  1. Open Scopus

  2. Select “Authors” from the tabs beneath the “Start Exploring” heading. 

  3. Search for your name or variations of names you have used in the past (ie: maiden name). 

  4. Check the boxes for any records that are yours. 

  5. Then select “Show Documents”. 

  6. At the top of the results page will be the author id or id numbers for you.

  7. Note - If you have multiple IDs, you will want to have them merged into one record.

The “Request to Merge” records in Scopus is not working at this time.  Please follow the directions below to request Scopus merge your records.

How To:

Remote Access

  1. Please go to Scopus: https://www.scopus.com/ and click the Sign in button on the upper right side of the page.

  2. You will be routed to the Welcome page, please click the button "Sign in via your institution".

Note: In case you are routed to the Sign-in page, please click the button "Sign in with a different account" and will direct to the Welcome page

3. In the "Find your institution" field, enter: Johns Hopkins (Johns Hopkins University) or enter your institutional email (XXXXX@jhu.edu)

4. You will see your institution's logo for confirmation. Please click the button "Access through John Hopkins".

Note: Please ensure to check the box for Remember Institution with Seamless Access

5. You will be routed to your institution's login page. For the login credentials, please approach your Admin/Librarian to provide you the credentials for your institution's portal.

Under the “request changes” section, you will see a note that states, “I want to request changes to an author/affiliation profile or Scopus content”

Click on the “Email” link under “Contact us”

This will bring you to a form to complete, where you will:

  1. state your role “Administrator/Librarian, Author, Editor, Publisher, User”

  2. List the subject (you can state “merging duplicate accounts”, for example)

  3. Under “your question” you can state here that you need to merge duplicate accounts listed under your profile. Please make sure to the AU-ID numbers for each account that needs to be merged.

  4. You will also need to include your contact details.
